Abstract
We consider the simple energy harvesting device with an electromagnetic transducer. The change of device’s parameters causes the transition from linear to nonlinear behavior of analyzed system. In our considerations we concern mainly on the dependence of the total effective electric power generated by the system versus base acceleration amplitude. Additionally, we examine the values of base acceleration amplitudes where the power efficiency of the nonlinear system starts to exceed the generated power in the linear regime (crossover point). We have found that appropriate selection of the system parameters shifts the crossover point towards relatively small base acceleration values.
