Abstract

This work discuss the viability of a shape memory material to attenuate the vibration and the Sommerfeld effect in a non-ideal oscillator, where the oscillator is represented by a cantilever beam coupled to an unbalanced DC motor as external excitation. Experimental results are presented considering different temperatures.
