FLEHAP: an energy harvester device based on fluttering effect
Last modified: 2017-04-27
Abstract
In this contribution we present an energy harvesting device based on the fluttering effect: when a fluid in motion impacts on a structure, an amount of the kinetic energy can be transferred to the structure. Large amplitude oscillations can be induced in the structure and these oscillations can be used to produce electrical energy.
The FLEHAP device is conceived to power distributed sensors in a Wireless Sensor Network. Some application example will be presented
