The distribution mechanism for the Miller-Atkinson is presented based on some previous papers of the authors. The cam is obtained in an analytical way and the optimization procedure of its shape based on Jarvis March algorithm is also described. The non-linear vibrations of the mechanism are analytically obtained used the Fourier transformation and they are numerically validated for different types of cams. The influences of different parameters on the nonlinear vibrations are studied.
