A VIBRO-IMPACT CAPSULE SYSTEM WITH DOUBLE-SIDED CONSTRAINT

Abstract
This paper studies the dynamics of a vibro-impact capsule system with constraints on both sides under variations of control parameters, including mass ratio, stiffness ratios, contact clearance, amplitude and frequency of external excitation. Previous analyses of vibro-impact capsule focus on progression velocity and energy consumption, without considering the stroke length for the oscillation of the inner mass which restricts the size limit of the capsule frame. A collision between the inner mass and the frame might occur, so that a third spring on the left side of the inner mass to is required to avoid a hard impact.
